Power Minds Youth Organisation (PMYO) Sanitary Facility Project for Children with Disabilities in Wakiso Ugandan Schools has attracted students researchers from Pittsburgh University USA to learn about friendly Pit Latrine construction for Children with disability in Africa. This area of hygiene has been an issue in Africa for Persons or children with disability in schools and communities.
Therefore the construction of a user friendly pit latrine for CWD in Uganda by PMYO as a role model project has been on Ministry of health, NGOs for Disabled persons and other bodies which has attracted students from United states universities to get a full insight on how PMYO has managed to address the sanitary problems of CWDs in Uganda. Since 2013 Power Minds Youth Organisation (PMYO) has been implementing Water Sanitation and hygiene projects (WASH) in rural areas of Uganda funded by People Help People One World Idstein Germany Over 8 villages in Wakiso has benefited in our WASH projects where water sources has been built for access to clean water and over 5 Sanitary facilities has been donated to schools to improve their Hygiene. We are so grateful that these projects are still proving a positive impact around he world.
